The keys of A flat, E flat, B flat, F flat and C major, F, C, G, D, and A minor are presented with one-octave scales and arpeggiated chords founded upon the Tonic, Submediant and Subdominant of each instance. Melodic technical material, in these keys as well as original, and attractive short pieces with a second violin part are given. The principles of rhythm and the primary bowings, together with theoretical explanations, are scattered throughout the work.
